St. Anthony's Invitational 2009

HUNTINGTON – She said it was easy. Hempstead’s Charlene Lipsey handled a field that included of some the best middle distance runners in the state. She ran alone from the start and challenge the best times ever in New York State history for 800 meters.

HUNTINGTON – She just shook her head. She wasn’t satisfied. Bay Shore senior Stephanie Barnes dominated the field in the triple jump but that wasn’t enough. She came to the St. Anthony’s Invitational for a meet but the longer the rain fell and the slicker the runway became, the more she saw her chances leaving with the record slipping away.

HUNTINGTON – This is where it is now for Terrance Livingston. He’s at the point now when he can run the state’s fastest time and walk of the track slightly indifferent and a little annoyed.
