Meet Information
Tioga's 1st
Annual Track Meet
Date: Friday,
April 22nd
Thank you for
your interest in attending the Tioga Twisted Track Meet. This meet will
score both the boys and girls together to have a total team invitational. All individual events will run genders separately
(Girls against girls and boys against boys). However, places will be
determined by the combined placing of the top girl and top boy on a team
for each event (Ties will be broken by best combined time/Distance). All relays will be run with 2 Girls and 2
Boys, with the hand-off order being chosen by the individual teams. Throws
and jumps will be run open for a set time or, in the case of a large number of
schools, in flights by school instead of distance. That way boys and girls of
the same team can throw or jump together. Pole vault and high jump will be run
as normal.
Start Time
A
coaches meeting will be held at 5:00 PM.Seeding packets will be handed out at that time.
Field
Events will begin at 5:00 PM and the rest of the meet will begin at 5:30
Scoring will be as follows:
Individual
events 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 (Top Boy and
Girl place combined - Ties broken by time/distance)
Relays
will be 20, 16, 12, 8, 4 (2 Boys and 2 Girls)
Entrees and Timing
Entries
will be made using mile split. 2 athletes may be entered per event (2 girls
and 2 boys) and each individual may participate in 4 events.Each school may enter one team per relay and
it will consist of 2 girls and 2 boys. Please enter relay names into mile split
with 2 alternates (One boy and one girl)
Entry fee
$250.00
for combined Boys and Girls team.

Awards
Ribbons
will be awarded to the top 6 in each event.T-shirts to first place, if available
Trophies
will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and possibly 3rd place
teams (boys and girls score combined)
Concession
stand
Will
be open.There will also be a limited
number of T-shirts for sale if possible.
Tents
Teams
may put up tents behind the bleachers closest to the baseball field
Field Events
Athletes
will be given 4 (Four) attempts in the shot put, discus, long jump, and triple
jump.
THERE
WILL NOT BE FINALS for field events!The
best place finish of each boy and girl will be combined for award purposes
We
will use an open pit for long/triple and Shot/Disk.
Boys
and Girls long jump:5:00 - 6:30 (Four
jumps each)
Boys
and Girls triple jump:6:45 - 8:15 (Four
jumps each)
Discus
and Shot: Boys shot/Girls Disc 5:00 -
6:15 , Girls Shot Boys Disc 6:30 - 7:45

start Hight: Girls - 5' then move to
6' (Bar will then move by 6" increments); Boys - 6' move to 7' for boys (Bar
will then move by 6" increments)
High
Jump: Boys First and then Girls
Relays
All
relays will be run 2 boys and 2 girls with the order to be determined by each
team individually
Bus Parking
Athletes
can be dropped off next to the track and then park at the back of the parking lot
next to the track in the area indicated
