The Emmaus girls' cross country team finished 2nd in 2006 before winning back-to-back AAA championships. The season in their own words.

The Emmaus girls came into the season with two goals in mind. To repeat as state champions in AAA, and to improve on their 5th place finish at the Nike Cross Northeast regionals and earn a trip to Portland for the NXN championships.
Team places are announced - trips to Portland at stake. Don Bosco Prep, NJ fans win the award for most spirit.
WAPPINGERS FALLS – It’s hard enough not to dance when you win but how do you not dance when 50 kids are chanting for you to? “Shake your booty,” Don Bosco called. “Shake your booty.”
FM boys, Don Bosco boys, Saratoga Springs girls, and Newton South girls all earn automatic qualifiers as well.
NJ (West Windsor Plainsboro-North, Don Bosco Prep) swept the boys while Massachusetts (Lincoln-Sudbury, Newton South) claimed the girls qualifying bids.
MileSplit is onsite at each of the big meets post-turkey day... at the four Nike Cross Regionals (Southeast, New York, Northeast and California), and the first three of four Foot Locker Regionals (Northeast, South and Midwest)
Lower Merion SR Ben Furcht qualifies for Foot Locker Nats, holding on for the 10th and final spot. Teammate Neal Berman was just 6 seconds off. North Penn's Brad Miles earned an individual trip to Nike Cross Nationals as did Emmaus SR Lindsey Graybill. North Allegheny got word of an at-large invite to NXN after getting 3rd.
Natalie Bower, Sophia Ziemian and the North Allegheny boys had higher goals than their state meets delivered. They dealt with their days in different ways. But all are now focused on new goals - this season.
Tatnall, a small Delaware private school with big aspirations, has positioned itself amongst the nation's best.
