Non-HyTek meets will have to wait until we have time. Look for new meet highlights and results through Monday, then it's the majority of the PIAA District meets.  Editor's Note: Over 40 League and Conference meets this week all around the state. Thanks to Hannah Granger, Aris Polites, Chris Roe and Mike Schmittlein, we FINISHED entering last week's elite marks from 22 meets into the rankings (Non-HyTek/RaceTab meets have to be entered by hand). And we are doing best to keep up this week. All HyTek meets are being processed for rankings within a few hours of being received. I went to the District 12 AAA track finals at Northeast HS on Friday. I will then be on the road to the District 6 AA meet in Altoona on Tuesday, back home to keep up with Districts coverage, and then to District 3 on Friday and District 1 on Saturday. Wow, did this season go fast! Not as fast as Brandon and Ryann and Chanelle and Paul... but fast, nonetheless.

Western Albemarle underclassmen take DMR at Louck Games in NY MileSplit Staff May 11, 2007

Rarely do you actually find an event such as the freshmen/sophomore distance medley relay, but the event at the Charles Loucks Games in White Plains, New York was a perfect event for a program with the young distance talent found at Western Albemarle. The boys from Crozet, Virginia won the race by 24 seconds and broke the meet record in the event by an even larger margin of 27 seconds with their winning time of 10:39.07. Three of the four relay members consisted of that incredible trio in the sophomore race at Footlocker South this past November who were all under in 16 minutes for 5K with Tyler Stutzman as the 1200 leg (3:14.8), James Howard-Smith as the 800 leg (1:59.7), and AA 3200 indoor state champ Kyle Satterwhite as the 1600 anchor (4:32.2). Adrian Sitler ran as the 400 meter leg with a 52.5 split. They won the battle with the upperclassmen as well as the junior/senior Western Albemarle DMR squad finishing 17th in the upperclassmen division in 11:00.86. Guiderland of New York, anchored by Footlocker finalist Brian Rhodes-Devey, broke the meet record in the seeded divison of 10:14.52, which was previously held by a Virginian squad in one of the best ever DMR's in the 2004 Westfield team as Guiderland clocked in at 10:12.24.
