NYSPHSAA - New York State Championships 2014

Canton, NY - While the weather and the course conditions put worry into some athletes on friday afternoon, the temperatures come Saturday morning were perfect for racing.  And the performances proved it, as one of the most fiercly contested State Meets came and went.  We were there to bring you all the drama, all the upsets, and all the triumphs for those in attendance.  Enjoy our recap below, and we'll see you at Federations next Saturday.

On Saturday at States, two coaches whose teams have together won 26 state championships will have a showdown in Class C. Walt McLaughlin's East Aurora teams won 6 titles from 2005-2010, and his team stands in the way of Jim Mitchell's Bronxville's squad's attempt to equal longest streak of all time. The Broncos have 6 in a row, but will they get to 7th heaven?

Canton, NY - Well, it seems as if the weather is taunting us.  While it has been 65 and pleasant all week, we can't say the same for Saturday.  But that has never bothered New Yorkers, who will toe the line in an effort to bring home the state title.  Some for the first time, some maybe for the last time.  Either way, we'll be on the scene to give you all the action.  And if you want to prepare, look no further than our previews below.
