Meet Information
Start Time- 4:30PM
The Newfield Jr. Stars Meet is open to 9th and 10th grade athletes and to 7th and 8th grade athletes that are competing at the varsity level.
If an athlete has qualified to compete in the State Qualifier Meet please do not enter that athlete into the qualifying event.
Athletes may compete in 4 events each and there is no limit to the number of athletes per event.
The Jr. Stars Meet is a scoring meet. There will be medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and ribbons for 4th, 5th and 6th place. The top two boys and girls teams will receive a trophy.
This meet will be pre-seeded. Please send a list of all entries with seed times by Sunday night, May 26th, so we can seed the meet. We will accept additions and changes and scratches on meet day.
There are no spikes allowed on the Newfield Track.
Newfield does not have pole vault facilities. There will be no Pole Vault.
There will be a concession stand run by the Newfield Boosters Club.
Entry fees, payable to the Newfield Central School, will be $175.00 covering both girls and boys teams.
Athletes will be given 3 attempts in the shot put, discus, long jump and triple jump. There will be no finals.
High jump bar will start at 36 for girls and 44 for boys.
Entries - Please send track entries on the enclosed form by Sunday night. Field athletes will sigh in at the event.
