In case you haven't seen it, this is a pretty cool article from Lets Run about how Coach Fox built the Syracuse program to what it is today. http://www.letsrun.com/news/2017/09/rise-syracuse-cross-country-powerhouse-built-scratch-10-years/

@coachac Ran against Chris Fox in college. By ran against, I mean was in the same races as him, not that I could see him he was so far ahead of me. Still one of the skinniest distance runners I've ever seen. When he turned sideways he disappeared. SEC was pretty top heavy with talent in the days before Arkansas came in and changed the dynamic. Olympians John Tuttle (AU) and Keith Brantly (FL). World marathon champ Mark Plaatjes (GA) (2:08.58 pr). Long time American record holder in the 10K Mark Nenow (UK). And, it turns out Chris Fox is a better coach than he was as a runner. He ran 13:21.6 and 27:53 post college.

I always enjoyed watching Keith Brantly. He was in that epic 1996 Olympic Marathon Trials race where Bob Kempainen threw up several times during the race and then went on to win. For those of you who never saw this, here is a low quality but still worth watching clip. Kempainen was a beast! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRvrxqlOSpI

@coachac was just telling an XC parent about this last Saturday when they seemed distressed about someone puking. Maybe the single most incredible thing I've ever seen in running. Fire hose projectile vomit at sub 5 mile pace. He retired in his prime to go be a doctor. Would have been interesting to see what kind of marathoner he might have become with a few more years of training. STUD!

Coach Fox was my coach at Auburn for 2 years. Hate that we lost him, especially from his alma mater but happy for the success he's having.
