Now that my attention has turned to college runners, it’s been fun to see just how Georgia does at the next level. It's been great to see so many familiar faces at races. Heck, at Roy Griak a complete high school team showed up from Georgia! I’m certain this isn’t an exhaustive list so there’s plenty of room for additional shouts out. I’ve tried to throw in a recent time and a small tidbit where I could but extra info might nice if you have it. The 3 freshman women on the list from Furman are half of the 6 freshman running in the top 7. It was a distinct pleasure to see Furman's Savannah Carnahan stay in front of Colorado's #3 at Pre-Nat over the last 400+ meters of the race. She couldn't know it at the time but the runner she held off ran 2:05/4:13 last spring. Yeah... ...sigh... ...yeah. On a side note, Bruce, perhaps you can use your considerable pull with Flotrack to convince them that Savannah is not Allie Buchalski. Tell them how to pronounce Buchalski while your at it. I suspect both of these tidbits will mitigate some confusion in upcoming seasons. Adams State, known for producing DII Men’s teams capable of competing well at the DI level, appears to be producing similar results on the Women’s team with former Georgia standout Grace Tinkey at the helm. Good to see Kathryn Foreman getting back to form on a team at Baylor that may be looking for a podium finish in the next few years. She's not the only Georgian on that team this year either as Peyton Thomas is their number 3. One wonders if the Colorado women are splitting up their top squad as Taylor Tuttle appears to be in top 5 shape but did not run Pre-Nats. Could Colorado actually be better than they appear if they throw a Georgia runner into their line up? Colorado women are currently ranked #1 in all polls so coach's choice I suppose. Reilly Freidman seems to be in the same situation on the men's team. Perhaps the Bradley "Pink" Classic is a blazing fast course but it looks to me like he might be able to help the top 10 men move up. (All times are truncated.) Women Alabama Crimson Classic – 5914M Kidan Kidane - Kennesaw State 21:16 Avery Bussjager, Kentucky - 21:22 (17th overall, #2 on her team) Yanley Gomez – Georgia 21:24 (#3 on team) Amy Ruiz – Georgia Tech 21:43 (#1 on team as freshman) Addy Lippitt – Georgia 22:00 Kate Northrop - Georgia 22:21 Laurel Sumner – Georgia 22:25 Hailey Gollnick – Georgia Tech 22:26 Morgan Ainslie – Georgia 22:27 Mary Claire Solomon – Georgia Tech 22:33 Haley Anderson – Georgia Tech 22:34 Rebecca Dow – Georgia Tech 22:43 Tiffany Yue – Georgia 22:57 Lauren Hovis – Georgia 23:09 Caitlyn Farrell - Kennesaw State 23:16 Ashton Lord – Georgia Southern 23:26 Bonnie McKinnon – Kennesaw State 23:26 (#3 on team) Juanita Pardo – Georgia Tech 23:40 Kaitlin Franklin - Kennesaw State 23:52 Nicole Zaubi - Kennesaw State 23:56 Erin Gant – Georgia Tech 24:33 Ansley Heavern – Georgia 24:49 Paulette Juieng - Kennesaw State 24:58 Jocelyn Brown – Georgia Tech 25:21 Magee Morris - Kennesaw State 25:40 Bradley “Pink” Classic 3.73 Mile Taylor Tuttle – Colorado 20:39 (1st place) Annie Kelly – Colorado 21:21 FSU Invitational 5k Lauren Hooper – Montevallo 20:11 Front Runner Invitational 5k Morgan Laushey – Georgia State 19:08 Melanie Hamilt – Georgia State 19:33 Brianna Archer – Georgia State 22:27 Furman XC Classic Anna Hayden - Furman 23:47 High Point University Vert XC Invitational 6k Lindsay Billings – Duke 21:32 (#2 on team) Jaguar Cross Country Challenge 5k Lara Way - Augusta 19:19 Pricilla Cartwright - Augusta 19:38 Amber Palermo - Augusta 20:06 Kate Boland - Augusta 20:15 McKenzie Knudsen - Augusta 21:51 Nevada Chase 6k Katie Faust – Utah 24:35 Nuttycombe 6k Peyton Thomas – Baylor 20:44 (#3 on ranked team) Morgan Ilse – North Carolina 21:05 (16:48 XC 5k this season) Kathryn Foreman – Baylor 22:47 (#6 on ranked team) Paul Short Gold 6k Grace Tinkey – Adams State 20:34 (#1 on #1 ranked DII team) Stephanie Ward – University at Buffalo 20:56 Pre-Nats 6k Blue Race Savannah Carnahan – Furman 20:30 (16th #2 freshman overall) Lindey Long – Air Force 21:06 (#3 on team) Emma Grace Hurley – Furman 21:52 Riley Burr – Furman 22:13 Jenna Gearing – Clemson (Pre-Nats Blue 6k 22:32 #5 on team that includes 3 freshman) Pre-Nats 6k Open Race Alex Cameron – Miami (Ohio) 6k 24:02 Royals XC Challenge 5k Anna Tipton - GC&SU 19:05 Savannah Ratcliff – Lee 19:25 Kaitlyn Griffith - GC&SU 19:31 (#2 on team as freshman) Grace Lynch - GC&SU 19:44 Madison Bowers - GC&SU 20:27 Maddy Howe - GC&SU 20:39 Brittney Schwind - GC&SU 20:48 Sarah Breeden - GC&SU 21:25 Rebecca Winslow - GC&SU 21:30 Sarah Willis - GC&SU 22:33 UGA Cross Country Invitational 5k Emma Maisel - Georgia 20:24 Men Alabama Crimson Classic – 8067M Bryan Kamau – Georgia 24:48 (#1 on team) Austin Sprague – Georgia 25:00 (#2 on team) Daniel Navarro – Georgia 25:11 (#5 on team) Mitchell Sanders, Georgia Tech - 25:41 (#3 on his team) Frank Pittman – Georgia Tech 25:54 (#4 on team) Kaleb McLeod (RS) – Belmont 25:57 (would be #3 on team if not red shirted) Nathan Riech – South Alabama 26:06 Ryan Peck – Georgia Tech 26:07 David Savic – 26:29 Jonathan Schwind – Lipscomb 26:39 Jonathan Pelham - UGA 26:40 John Green – Lipscomb 26:47 Ryan Peppenhorst – Georgia 26:48 Chirstian Bowles – Georgia Tech 26:56 Henry Dwyer – Georgia 27:08 Paul Schupp - Kennesaw State 27:14 Jordan Hand - Kennesaw State 27:30 Will Hasse – Kennesaw State 27:33 Derick Kinyanjui – Kennesaw State 27:33 Max Warner – Kennesaw State 28:44 Bradley “Pink” Classic 4.97 Mile Reilly Freidman – Colorado 24:28 Front Runner Invitational 8k Kevin Mills – Winthrop 25:24 Jaguar Cross Country Challenge 4 Mile Daniel Broadhead - Augusta 21:15 Dylan Forester - Augusta 21:18 Josh Thompson - Augusta 21:32 Noah Hulett - Augusta 21:35 David Perez-Santiago - Augusta 22:53 Tanner Hicks - Augusta 22:56 Austin Cook - Georgia Military College 23:12 Dominic Roberts - Georgia Military College 24:51 Nuttycombe 8k Jack Leahey - Princeton 26:24 Pre-Nats Blue 8k Josh Brickell – Furman 24:24 (21st #2 on team) Pre-Nats Open 8k Thomas Moore – Furman 26:49 Rothenberg - Brown Invitational 8k Andrew Coggins - Brown University 25:17 Rowan University Border Clash 7.8k Spencer Fields - Rhodes College 19:30 Royals XC Challenge 8k Collin Silliman - GC&SU 25:59 Avery Cypress – Queens 26:07 Shawn Olmstead - GC&SU 26:17 Jim Galvin - GC&SU 26:41 Austin VonKutzleben - GC&SU 26:59 Joshua Warren - GC&SU 27:00 Daniel Sexton - GC&SU 27:02 Brian Skoglind - GC&SU 27:11 Conner Reynolds - GC&SU 27:20 Austin Campbell - GC&SU 28:23 Andrew Cowick - GC&SU 29:00

@KCCCCC Bruce can't help Flotrack. They never know who people are. I've watched races where they badly mix up Colorado guys and call them someone who isn't even in the race, all while the same guys laugh at them on twitter.

@trailcat yeah I was just making light. If you'really a new runner in a spot you get confused with a top 10 finisher from last year you're probably doing something right.

@jayfsorba I hoped smarter people would show up if I posted this. I'll add them when I'm back on a real computer.
Entire KSU women's roster is made up of Georgia high school graduates....
@jayfsorba Indeed! Gotta give a shoutout to former Hillgrove Hawk Kaitlin Franklin who ran 23:52 at the Alabama Crimson Classic. This pace for 6k puts her around 19:42 for 5k which is slightly faster than her HS PR!

@acarr6453 your welcome and congrats! I woke up this morning and one of my first thoughts was that I left another runner off that didn't go to that high school but is still a favorite of both of ours. I'll get Anna Hayden added today as well.

@UGA86 and everyone else on the GCSU roster. I thought we were friends! Actually picked up a few tidbits with those adds. Way to go Kaitlyn Griffith! Also, I didn't know that Jonathan Schwind may have been inspired to take up XC with inspiration from an older sister. I think Thomas Schwind may have been inspired by Jonathan... ...and they're still comin'!

@jayfsorba Can you (or anyone else) confirm that Saidah Grant is a Georgia Alum? I can't find her on Milesplit but know that Kidan Kidane shows up as Lilly Kidane. I only included runners who were at the Crimson Classic. I thought this would be a 5k effort and am running out of gas at the 7k mark. (At least I think I'm that close to the finish. This isn't a 10k is it?!) Quite a list.

Coming off a team win at the GC Bobcat Invitational, Augusta carded fourth at the Montevallo Falcon Classic (8K) led by sophomore Daniel Broadhead for the second straight race. Broadhead booked it in 25:02.55 to take sixth overall for his lowest collegiate 8K time. (copied and pasted from Augusta's CC web page)

@KCCCCC My understanding is that Saidah joined the KSU team from the KSU Running Club. Didn't run at Archer HS. Just wanted to make sure these girls were included.....selfishly because our daughter is one of them. Thanks for taking the time to parse through these results and posting them!

@WayneCounty I pulled times from the Jaguar Cross Country Challenge as it was more recent. The ladies at Augusta hammered out a perfect score +1 with 4 of the top 5 from Georgia along with a 5th Georgian in the 6th position.

@KCCCCC Since they have Conference this week-end, they were told to tempo the first 3 miles and then race the last mile.
