ITHACA, N.Y. – Cornell's track and field teams had four athletes earn Outdoor All-America status, including three athletes who made the All-America Second Team, the USTFCCCA announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cornell men were led by sophomore Montez Blair and senior Nick Huber, who were both named Second-Team All-Americans. Blair, a high jumper who owns the school record in the event, advanced to the NCAA Championships last week and finished as the 14th-place high jumper in the country. Blair's top height of 7' 1/2”was cleared on his first attempt at the height.

Huber, a senior who was not expected to compete at Cornell when he arrived as a freshman, placed 11th at the decathlon in Des Moines, Iowa last week. He finished in the top 10 of six of the 10 decathlon events, and he nearly reached his personal record at the NCAAs. Huber leaves Cornell as the school record holder in the decathlon, pentathlon and heptathlon.

Making the All-America Second Team on the women's side was junior Genna Hartung. Reaching NCAAs in the 3K steeplechase thanks to a school-record 10:10.55 run at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Fla., Hartung raced in the national semifinal and eked out a spot in the national championship race. Once in the championship race, Hartung closed out a great year with a 13th-place showing nationally.

The final Big Red athlete to make an All-America team is junior Katie Kellner, a distance runner who made the Honorable Mention All-America list. Kellner competed in the NCAA Championships in the 10K race, taking 21st place in a very competitive field. Her season included a school record in that event and an Outdoor Heps title.
