In addition, the Jaspers' Andrea Nyback (Koping, Sweden) sat in third place in the ECAC Championships heptathlon.

Siljeback-Larsen then had the second-best long jump (6.87 m, 22'6½) of the day before recording a personal-best in the shot put (12.50 m, 41'0¼). After high jumping 1.86 m (6'1¼), he concluded day one by posting a time of 50.90 seconds in the 400 meters.
After taking second in her heat in the 100 meter hurdles (15.29), Nyback cleared 1.67 m (5'5¾) in the high jump, the second-best effort of the competition. She then posted the fourth-best mark in the shot put (11.07 m, 36'4) before concluding the day with a 26.82-second clocking in the 200 meters. Nyback currently has 2949 points, six behind second-place Elizabeth Kline of Pittsburgh. The heptathlon leader is Monmouth's Lindsey Walsh, who collected 3003 points on day one.
