NAMPA, Idaho -- Cornell's
Stephen Mozia placed 16th in the country at Friday night's NCAA Championship shot put event, throwing the shot 17.35 meters (56' 11 1/4").
Mozia, just a freshman, was eliminated after the first round of throws, but he did improve on his first throw in the competion of 17.32 meters. Already the school and freshman record holder in the event, Mozia still has three years ahead of him to compete and improve his records.
Arizona State's Jordan Clarke won the national championship with a throw of 20.86 meters (68' 5 1/4") in the final round.

Montez Blair, will attempt to win the high jump on Saturday. His competition begins at 6 p.m. EST and can
