Jen Clayton, former state long jump champion and New York State record holder, has transferred from LSU to the University of Central Florida, according to the UCFToday.com website.
Clayton, a graduate of Suffern in Rockland County, won the SEC long jump title last spring as a freshman at LSU. She is tied with Lynette Wigington and Keyon Soley for the state record at 20 feet, 10.75 inches. Clayton was named to the All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Freshman Team last year. Clayton's older sister, Janelle, is currently a high jumper at the University of Virginia.
