Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.
This Week's Nominees:
Taylor Foster, Brearley School (New York): Clocked 13.50 in the 100m hurdles for third place at the Brooks PR Invitational, posting the top time among New York competitors this week.
Olivia Solomon, New Rochelle (New York): Won the 800 meters at the Section 1 State Qualifier in 2:08.57, leading a field of 45 runners and posting the fastest time by a sophomore in the state this season.
Elycia Wilkerson, Connetquot (New York): Swept the 400 and 200 at the Section XI State Qualifier, winning the 400 in 54.43 and taking the 200 in 24.78. Her 400 time led all New York competitors this week.
Ruby Miracle, Shaker (New York): Captured the pole vault at the Section 2 State Qualifier with a clearance of 13-0.25, the top mark among juniors in New York this season.
Paige Fessler, Val Stream North (New York): Dominated the jumps at the Section 8 State Qualifier, winning both the high jump at 5-8.5 and long jump at 18-1.5. She also competed in the 100m hurdles, finishing sixth in 15.78, making her the top junior in the state in the high jump this season.
