This Week's Nominees:
Kate Voelker, Manhasset (New York): Cleared 6-1 to win the high jump at the Section 8 Class AA Championship, topping a field of 11 competitors.
Nylah Phillips, George H. Hewlett (New York): Won both sprints at the Section 8 Class AA Championship, clocking 24.16 in the 200 and 54.39 in the 400. She topped fields of 14 and 15 competitors respectively in her sweep of the sprint events.
Meaghan Lynch, Schuylerville (New York): Swept the jumping events at the 2025 Foothills Council Varsity Championships with wins in the long jump (19-8) and triple jump (38-6.75). She also claimed the 100 meters in 12.59, making it three individual victories on the day.
Cella McLaughlin, Corning (New York): Triple winner at the STAC Championships, taking the 100 hurdles in 13.84 and the 100 meters in 12.07. She completed her day with a victory in the long jump at 18-5.25, sweeping three events across sprints and field.
Payton Richardson, Rye Country Day School (New York): Posted 24.35 to win the 200 at the NYSAIS Outdoor Championships, the #2 sophomore mark in New York this week. She doubled back to take the 400 in 56.49, ranking her #3 among state sophomores in that event.
