This Week's Nominees:
Kenneth Ramdayal, Herricks (New York): Swept the throws at the Section 8 Class AAA Championship with a discus mark of 189-1 and shot put mark of 55-6.5. Posted the top discus mark among this week's competitors while adding a sixth-ranked shot put performance.
Logan Aman, Candor (New York): Won both sprints at the IAC Championships, clocking 10.47 in the 100 meters and 21.33 in the 200 meters. Turned in the week's fastest 100 time among competitors while posting the second-fastest 200 mark.
Jack Larson, Guilderland (New York): Claimed the long jump title at the Boys Suburban Council Varsity and JV Championships with a leap of 24-5, the top mark among this week's competitors. Also competed in the 100 meters, running 11.34 for eighth place.
Alfie Adams, Hackley School (New York): The top-ranked sophomore in the state clocked 1:52.90 to win the 800 meters at the NYSAIS Outdoor Championships. Posted the fastest 800 time among this week's competitors in the 45-athlete field.
Kane Poje, Tri-Valley (New York): Threw 58-9.5 to win the shot put at the Middies Throw Off Series, posting the week's top mark among competitors. The top junior in New York in the shot put also competed in the discus, finishing fourth with a mark of 147-4.
