Track & Field Competes at Penn Relays

COMPLETE RESULTS

Philadelphia, PA – The Wagner College track & field team competed at the prestigious Penn Relays held April 28-30 at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA. Now celebrating its 116th anniversary, the Penn Relays welcomed over 22,000 entries from high school and collegiate athletes across the nation.

The 4x800 meter relay team consisting of Jessica Balling (Seaford, NY / MacArthur), Cameo Kirk (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional), Alexis Bivona (Staten Island, NY / St. John Villa) and Taylor Fredrickson (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) highlighted the women's team by setting a school record with a time of 9:18.27.

Setting a season-best time in the 4x400 meter relay, the foursome of Kirk, Morgan Kaisershot (Elko, NV / Elko), Becca Valente (Grantham, NH / Lebanon) and Francyna Evins (Staten Island, NY / Curtis) crossed the finish line in 4:03.21.

Sheena Taylor (Twinsburg, OH / Detroit Mercy) earned 14th in the shot put with a toss 12.81 meters while the junior also finished 22nd in the hammer throw with a measurement of 45.87 meters.

On the men's side, Daniel Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph's By The Sea), Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional), Colin Macdonald (Dix Hills, NY / Commack) and Thomas Iannacone (Havertown PA, / St. Joe's Prep) clocked in with a time of 10:25.84 in the distance medley relay as the foursome finished in 19th.

The Seahawks return to action on May 7-8 at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship in Long Branch, NJ.
