Adam James (Valley Stream Central) ran 10.90 in the 100 meters at the Bulldog Invite on May 16, dropping from his previous best of 11.74. The freshman ranks #39 in New York and #1 among freshmen statewide after placing 5th of 142 competitors.
Isaiah Neil (Vertus Charter) clocked 15.94 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Gates-Chili Spartan Invite on May 16, improving from 17.30 set in May 2026. The junior moved to #143 in the state and #40 among juniors with his 7th-place finish in a field of 29.
K'Mari Jones (East Syracuse-Minoa) threw 155-5 in the discus at the William F. Eddy Jr. Track & Field Meet on May 16, bettering his previous mark of 134-2. The senior placed 4th of 39 competitors and ranks #31 statewide and #21 among seniors.
Joni Bushpepa (Eastchester) leaped 23-3.5 in the long jump at the Edgemont Quad on May 12, improving from 19-6 set in April 2026. The sophomore won the event with 19 competitors and set a school record while moving to #14 in New York and #2 among sophomores.
Chris Morency (Cato-Meridian) cleared 6-2.25 in the high jump at the DeRuyter SWC Track Invitational on May 15, improving from 5-1.75 set in April 2026. The sophomore won the event among 8 competitors and set a school record while ranking #52 statewide and #4 among sophomores. Morency also set personal records in the 110-meter hurdles (16.88, previous 18.06), long jump (18-6, previous 18-3.25) and 400-meter hurdles (1:00.20, previous 1:03.98).
Jamison Warren (Wallkill) ran 1:57.53 in the 800 meters at Wallkill vs Marlboro, Webutuck on May 12, dropping from 2:18.23 set in February 2026. The senior won the event among 20 competitors and ranks #58 in the state and #32 among seniors. Warren also ran a personal record 11.46 in the 100 meters, improving from 11.87.
Wyatt Kimbell (Sauquoit Valley) threw 50-11 in the shot put at the Doug Quinney Invite on May 15, improving from 45-4.5. The senior placed 3rd of 41 competitors and ranks #34 statewide and #25 among seniors.
