Staten Island, NY – Wagner College held its 27th annual Senior Awards Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn on Tuesday night as the college recognized, honored and bid farewell to its 67 senior student-athletes.

Delivering the opening messages were Wagner College President Richard Guarasci and Wagner College alumnus, football letterwinner and benefactor Marc Lebovitz '91, whose generous donation made Wagner College Stadium's striking new video scoreboard a reality.

There were many highlights throughout the dinner, which was attended by nerly 200 people, including the ECAC Merit Awards which are presented to the male and female graduating Wagner student-athletes with the highest cumulative GPA. This year's winners were Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/ Miller Place) of the track and field who earned a 3.9 GPA majoring in chemistry, and soccer/track and field standout Jessica Balling (Seaford, NY/ MacArthur) who owns a 3.9 GPA majoring in Business Administration.

The winners of this year's Con Edison Scholar Athletes of the Year were Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ/ Shore Regional)

of the men's track and field team and Jessica Balling (Seaford, NY/ MacArthur) of the soccer and women's track and field team.
