NEW ORLEANS – Junior Pat Dupont of the Syracuse University men's cross country team was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic list on Monday, February 24. It marked the second consecutive year Dupont has etched his name on the list. 

Each recipient of the honor must compile a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and acquire All-America status or finish in the top 10 percent of the field at an NCAA Division I Regional meet.

Dupont became SU's second All-American in as many years after finishing 27th at the NCAA Championship. The Fairport, N.Y. native led the Orange to back-to-back BIG EAST and Northeast Region Championships in 2009 and 2010. He was named to the 2010 All-BIG EAST team and 2009 and 2010 All-Northeast Region squads for his performances.

Head coach Chris Fox has guided three Orange men to five All-Academic honors since he assumed the head coaching position in 2005.
