NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's track team had a busy weekend in New York City, with competitive relay performances at the Millrose Games on Friday evening and a second place team finish at the New York Road Runners “College Night at the Armory” on Saturday. The men's meet on Saturday was tightly contested, with Princeton taking the team title over the Big Red in a twelve-team field by finishing strongly in the final two events of the evening, scorring 149 points to Cornell's 144 1/3. Big East powers Connecticut placed third with 92 1/3 and Villanova scored 76 for fourth.

He then came back to get fourth in the weight throw at 56-10 3/4 while sophomore Bob Fiedler was fifth at 52-6 3/4. The Big Red's other event win came in the 60, as the Big Red's impressive group of young sprinters produced very good performances. Junior Chase Aaranson was also under the IC4A standard in running 6.97 in the prelims but false-started in the final. Ojukwu came back to place second in the 200 at 22.05, a new freshman record and #5 all-time at Cornell overall. Classmate Justin McCollin, the previous holder of the freshman record, ran 22.44 for seventh. Cornell also saw very good efforts and and improvements in the hurdles as junior Dan Hagberg ran a personal best 8.13 for third and #3 all-time at Cornell. Senior Sean Potter was eighth in 8.63.
