
New York high school track and field athletes set personal records and school marks at meets across the state during the week of April 13.
Olivia Dobish (Chenango Forks) won the triple jump at the Square Deal Invite with a leap of 39-3.75, improving from her previous best of 24-10 set in April 2026. The freshman ranks #4 in New York and #1 among freshmen, and the mark set a school record. Dobish also recorded a personal record in the long jump, improving from 13-1 to 13-10.5.
Tiffany Hajba (Kingston) threw 148-5 in the discus at the Middletown Dual on April 14, winning the event and improving from her previous mark of 118-8.5. The sophomore ranks #1 in New York and set a school record. Hajba leads all sophomores in the state.
Eliana Banks (Averill Park) ran 2:25.76 to win the 800 meters at the Albany Dual Meet on April 15. The freshman improved from her previous best of 2:39.67 set in May 2025 and ranks #117 in New York and #8 among freshmen.
Gia Bronzell (Shenendehowa) placed fifth in the 3000 meters at the New York Relays with a time of 10:24.03. The freshman improved from her previous mark of 11:04.77 set in February 2026 and ranks #49 in New York and #6 among freshmen.
Mya Lewis (Edison Tech) won the 100 meters at RCAC Outdoor Week 2 in 12.94, improving from 13.44 set in April 2026. The freshman ranks #117 in New York and #10 among freshmen. Lewis also set a personal record in the 200 meters, running 27.14 to improve from 28.17.
Mya Rivas (Cardinal Spellman) placed second in the 200 meters at the Mount Relays with a time of 26.23. The senior improved from her previous best of 27.16 set in April 2026 and ranks #82 in New York.
Ella Ostling (Commack) cleared 5-5 to win the high jump at the Joe Brandi Relays, improving from her previous mark of 5-3. The freshman ranks #7 in New York and #1 among freshman, and the mark set a school record. Ostling also recorded a personal best in the triple jump, improving from 32-5 to 33-4.75.
