NEW YORK, January 7, 2011 - New York City Councilwoman Maria del Carmen Arroyo (Council District 17) will receive the Hispanic Leader of Today Award during Saturday's Hispanic Games at the Armory located at 216 Ft. Washington Avenue.
The award is being presented by the Armory Foundation, whose Armory doors open to more than 100 track and field events and 125,000 individual athletes annually. The Armory has undergone a state-of-the-art major renovation, including new boys' and girls' bathrooms, which couldn't have been accomplished if not for Maria Del Carmen Arroyo's support.
