Erasmus Hall’s Shane Green and Kimberly Bailey of Taft, both PSAL schools, have been named Armory Athletes of the Week, presented by AT&T.
Green, a senior, posted a nation-leading mark in the triple jump at 49 feet, 7.25 at the PSAL Night of Sprints Dec. 30. The jump is the second best mark in PSAL history and a personal best for Green, whose best indoor attempt before this season was 46-8. At the same meet, Bailey, a sophomore, clocked 39.36 to win the 300 meters. The time was good for the third-fastest in New York State this season. It’s also a personal best for Bailey, who became the fourth runner in the state to break 40 seconds in the 300 this season.
