Cornwall, NY senior Aisling Cuffe finished her season undefeated by winning her first Foot Locker National title in San Diego, CA.  Cuffe ran 16:53 to win by 34 seconds over Rachel Johnson from Plano, TX.  Cuffe becomes the first New York girl to win the title since Aislinn Ryan in 2004.  Ryan ran 17:31 that year on the same Balboa Park course, though conditions may have been drastically different.

Lauren Mullins from Johnson City, NY placed 21st in 18:13.

New York City's own Eddie Owens placed 8th in 15:25, the highest finish by a runner from the Northeast.  Lucas Versbicas from Orland Hills, ILL. won in 14:59.  Chad Noelle from Greene, NY placed 10th in 15:25, a mere 3 seonds out of 5th.  Noelle's high school does not have cross country so he trained on his own this fall.  He will be attending The University of Oregon next year.
