School Record Performance Highlights Season-Opening Meet for Wagner

– The Men's Indoor Track and Field Team opened the indoor season by setting a school record at the Second Annual MAC Classic held at Monmouth University's Multipurpose Activity Center.

The 4x55 meter relay team consisting of senior Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ / Shore Regional), sophomore Alan Kopeloff (Staten Island, NY / Monsignor Farrell), junior John Garrish and junior Colin Macdonald (Dix Hills, NY / Commack) placed second while setting a Wagner record with a time of 26.63.

The men's other second place finish was in the 4x400 meter relay as freshman Daniel Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph's By The Sea), freshman Faisal Abdillahi (Lewiston, ME / Lewiston). junior Colin Macdonald (Dix Hills, NY / Commack) and freshman Michael Baio (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph's By The Sea) turned in a time of 3:46.27.

Wagner's men track and field team fell to Monmouth 110.00 to 9.00 and to NJIT 48.00 to 28.00.

The men's next event will take place on Friday, December 10th at the Fordham Invitational.
