SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Juniors Pat Dupont (Fairport, N.Y.) and Natalie Busby (New Paltz, N.Y.), of the Orange cross country team are the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 25, 2010.

Dupont and the Orange men are currently ranked second in the Northeast Region and 17th nationally. He helped SU earn a fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, when he crossed the finish line 36th out of 212 runners. Dupont has been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each semester at SU as a music composition major.

Busby has helped the women's team establish its best national ranking in program history at seventh. The Orange women have also been ranked first in the Northeast Region since the preseason poll. She placed 42nd out of 202 competitors at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational as SU claimed first place overall. As a psychology major, Busby has earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in every semester at Syracuse.

SU is preparing to host its first BIG EAST Championship in program history on October 30 at Jamesville Beach Park. The Orange men are ultimately focused on repeating as BIG EAST Champions, while the women look to improve on last year's program-best third-place finish.
