SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After recording their most successful seasons in program history, the Syracuse University men's and women's cross country teams have each been ranked first in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Preseason Northeast Regional rankings.

Last season, the Orange men captured the BIG EAST and NCAA Northeast Regional championships, which are both program firsts. The women also set program standards earning a third-place finish at the BIG EAST championship and joined the men as regional champions.

The Orange will hit the ground running on Saturday, September 4 when it travels to Colgate to begin 2010 competition at the Harry Lang Invitational.
