Now looking at our sophomores, we took the final season bests by sophomores this year, and graded how close they were to breaking the Sophomore State Records.
One inch is all that separated Jah-Sir Boyd from cracking the Long Jump State Record. That mark earned him a third place finish in a loaded final flight at the 2026 State Championships. Pole Vault saw the biggest gap, as Luke Beattie rewrote the Record Books on his way up the ranks.
