Cornell Sees 10 Named to Spring Academic All-Ivy Team

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for All-Ivy Academic honors in spring sports this week. The 80 men and women were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages. Cornell's Honorees

Mickey Brodsky – Junior – Baseball
First-team All-Ivy; Led Cornell with a .384 batting average and 25 runs scored with a .996 fielding percentage

Pierce Derkac – Senior – Men's Lacrosse
* Third-Team All-America; First-Team All-Ivy; Led Cornell to the NCAA semifinals as the leader of the defense

Matt Jaye – Junior – Golf
* Was Cornell's low scorer playing No. 1 in every tournament

Kerry Quinn – Senior – Lightweight Rowing
*Cornell Red Key Athlete Honor Society President; coxswain of the first varsity eight boat

Colin Smith – Junior – Heavyweight Rowing
*A two-year rower on Cornell's first varsity eight boat, serving as the stroke this season; Led Cornell to a bronze medal at the IRA Championships

Erica Crump – Junior – Women's Rowing
*First-Team CRCA All Mid-Atlantic Region and National Scholar-Athlete; CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine First-Team Academic All-District

Alyson Inthihar – Senior – Softball
*Two-time Ivy Player of the Year; CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second-Team Academic All-America

Libby Johnson – Junior – Women's Lacrosse
*Second-Team All-Ivy; Led Cornell in assists (13)

Stephanie Pancoast – Senior – Outdoor Track & Field
*Fifth at Outdoor Heps in the steeplechase; Made her second-straight appearance at NCAA Championships in that event

Anna Psiaki – Sophomore – Women's Rowing
*Rowed for the first varsity eight boat that earned its first national ranking since 2004; CRCA National Scholar-Athlete
