EUGENE, Ore. -- Cornell freshman Victoria Imbesi concluded her first trip to the NCAA tournament on Saturday, finishing 24th in the javelin on the final day of competition at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Imbesi, who qualified with the 11th spot at the eastern preliminary site, fouled on her first throw, then recorded a mark of 39.89m, or 130'10". Imbesi then recorded a throw of 39.67m on her third and final attempt, well shy of her mark of 148'10" that qualified her for the NCAA Championships. In perspective, Imbesi would have needed to better her qualifying mark by nearly 15 feet to advance to the the final round of throws in Saturday's competition.

The 2010 NCAA Track and Field Championships concluded with the Big Red recording one All-American, as junior Kim Standridge was the seventh American finisher in the 800m on Wednesday.
