EUGENE, Ore. -- In her final race as a Cornellian, senior
Stephanie Pancoast finished 10th in her heat in the 3000m steeplechase at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., finishing in 20th place overall on day two at Hayward Field.
Pancoast, the school record holder in that event, ran a 10:40.85 on Thursday in the faster of the two heats. With the top six in each heat and the next two fastest finishers qualifying for Saturday's final, Pancoast finished out of the running as both of the two time qualifiers came from her heat.
The third and final competitor at the NCAA Championships for the Big Red, freshman
Victoria Imbesi, will have her competition on Saturday in the women's javelin. Saturday's action begins at 12:30 p.m. EDT from Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
