Randall's Island, NY – The Wagner College Men's Track and Field team had four impressive finishes at the 2010 NYC Qualifying Challenge held at Icahn Stadium this weekend. Senior
Kevin Kearney (Haddonfield, NJ/St. Joe's Prep) led the with a 1:59.25 mark in the 800-meter run.
For Kearney, the time was his third-best finish this season. He placed 22nd overall in a field consisting of 56 athletes.
Also adding impressive finishes for the men were sophomore
Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA/St. Joe's Prep) and sophomore
Zachary Spector (Yaphank, NY/Longwood). Iannacone placed 18th out of 46 runners in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:06.97, while Spector placed fifth out of 13 athletes in the 5000-meter event. Spector's time was his second-best finish this season.
Junior
Philip Nelson (Indianapolis, IN/Governor Dummer Academy) added a season-best finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a 16.63 time.
The event concludes the regular season for the men's team.
