LEWISBURG, Pa. (4/11/10)—The Colgate University track team recorded a trio of personal-records in the 800-meter run Saturday at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

Senior Ashley Niness (Berwyn, Pa.) finished fifth overall in the 800-meter run with a personal-record time of 2:14.27. Niness, who's time is the second best in the Patriot League this season, was followed by sophomores Elise DeRoo (Newtown, Conn.) and Kendall Lyons (Wilton, Conn.) who both posted personal-record times of 2:16.22 and 2:18.78, respectively.
 
The Raiders also had a strong showing in the 4x100-meter relay as Niness along with sophomores Megan Snell (Beaverton, Ore.), Ali Atkinson (Weston, Conn.) and junior Michele Miller (Silver Spring, Md.) won their heat and finished fourth overall with a time of 49.14. The time is the fourth best in the Patriot League this season.

The Raiders will continue their outdoor season on April 17, at the Moravian Invitational.
