HAMILTON, N.Y. (4/6/10) – Colgate University sophomore Elise DeRoo (Newtown, Conn.) was named the Patriot League Female Runner of the Week following her record setting performance at the Sam Howell Invitational. This is the second outdoor award for DeRoo this season.

DeRoo broke her own school-record in the 5,000-meter run and finished second overall with a time of 16:35.61. DeRoo's time qualified her for the ECAC championships and ranks 23rd in the Eastern Region and 34th in the nation. The top-48 times qualify for each NCAA Regional Championship.

The Raiders will continue their outdoor season on April 9-10, at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
