So much goes on throughout the great State of New York that you need one spot to bring in the best of the action. We'll give our top performances of the weekend, then let you vote on which you think was the best.
This week's poll will close on Friday at Noon.
Claudel Chery (North Rockland) - The New York State XC Champ still has wheels, as he sets a new personal best in the mile at the Hispanic Games, clocking 4:12.53. The mark puts him in the Top 25 All-Time for the event in New York, and qualifies him for Millrose.
Brandon Thweatt (Baldwin) - It used to be that anything under 7.40 in the Hurdles was exceptional, but Thweatt became the third person to do it this year, when he went 7.35 at the Hispanic Games, now NY-3 in the event.
Owen Conley (Colonie) - Conley wins the 1000m at the Freedom Games, going 2:30.68. That's over three seconds faster than anyone else in New York, and sets him up nicely in the event, if he so chooses to contest it at States back on the very same track.
Aidan Peterkin (Elmont Memorial) - A strong double over the weekend, when he went 33.89 in the 300m at the Marine Corps Invite, the only New Yorker under 34, and then came back with a 21.89 in the 200m at the Hispanic Games, also State Leading.
