West Long Branch, NJ – Senior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) led the Wagner Women's Outdoor Track and Field team at the squad's second event of the season - the 15th Annual Season Opener at Monmouth University on Saturday. Drager registered two top-10 finishes, including a third place finish in the 1500-meter dash.

Drager took third place in the 1500-meter dash with a season-best time of 4:45.44. Her time bettered her previous season-best of 4:47.51 set one week ago. Drager later placed eighth in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:24.11 – nearly 16 seconds better than the previous team-best of 2:40.24, also set one week ago.

Senior Amanda Gland (Woodbury, CT/Nonnewaug) gave the Seahawks their only first place finish of the day. Gland earned top honors in the Long Jump after registering a 5.19-meter leap. The mark is Wagner's second-best length this season.

Other impressive finishes for the Seahawks in sophomore Sheena Taylor (Twinsburg, OH/Detroit Mercy), who placed fourth out of 35 athletes in the Shot Put event and junior Samantha Schueschner (Brookfield, CT/Brookfield), who took third out of 35 athletes in the Discus event with a 35.24 distance.

Track and Field will host their annual home invitational on Saturday, April 3rd. The first event are scheduled for 10:00 AM.
