BOSTON, Mass. (3/7/10)— The Colgate University men's track and field team set a new school record in the 4x800-meter relay at the IC4A Championship on Sunday, March 7.

Ed Boulat (Larchmont, N.Y.), sophomore
Tim Metivier (Tonawanda, N.Y.), junior
Jon Knowlton (North Salem, N.Y.) and junior
Andy Smith (York, Pa.) ran a 7:33.25 to finish seventh overall earning all-East honors. The previous record of 7:35.10 was set in 1969.
Boulat led off running the 800 meters in 1:54.9, followed by Metivier (1:53.6), Knowlton (1:52.4) and needing a 1:52.8 to break the record Smith anchored the relay in 1:51.6.
The Raiders will kick off the outdoor season at the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on March 19-20.
