BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Maegan Krifchin led the Syracuse University track and field teams on day two of the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Sunday in Boston, Mass. With the scores from both days tallied, the Syracuse men placed sixth (33 points) out of 52 teams at the IC4A Championships, while the women ended in a four-way tie for eighth (21 points) with Manhattan, New Hampshire, and William and Mary at the ECAC Championship.

Krifchin earned SU's only individual title winning the mile run with a time of 4:48.10. Teammate Nana Sang-Bender also competed in the mile event, finishing eighth overall with a time of 4:56.81.

The Orange women were also represented in the 3,000-meter run. Sophomore Carly Hamond legged out a 20th place finish with a time of 10:05.41, while freshman Sarah Pagano recorded a time of 10:14.71 to place 23rd overall.

On the men's side, senior Curtis Bixler registered his team's best finish on Sunday. Bixler placed second in the men's 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:16.62. Senior Jay Koloseus and sophomore Griff Graves were not far behind, taking seventh and ninth, respectively, in the same event.

Newcomer Amadou Gueye had a good showing in the 55-meter hurdles final, placing fourth with a time of 7.44. Sophomore Tito Medrano also took home a fourth place finish, with a time of 4:10.20 in the men's mile run.

The Orange will close the indoor season at the 2010 NCAA Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 13-14 in Fayetteville, Ark.
