Too close to call. That's the easiest way to explain this race, that will see the scores tighten up on race day, even more than they already are. Plenty of teams have a stake to the claim of favorite heading in. Colonie has the best compression, and is racing at home. North Rockland has the best 1-2 punch, Auburn has the best team through 3 runners, and Ward Melville beat them all at Pre-States. And yet, it's Ithaca in the merge, who has the slight edge based on Sectionals, and even more of a gap, if their 5th has even a marginal improvement. This one should be the best matchup of the day.
