FULL RESULTS

New Haven, CT – Junior Derek Schultz (Ocean Port, NJ/Shore Regional) was one of four Seahawks to claim a season-best finish at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships this Friday and Saturday. Schultz finished the 400 Meter Dash in 51.72 to better his previous mark of 51.99 set at the NYC Gotham Cup on January 15th. He finished 18th out of 27 athletes.

Sophomores Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA/St. Joe's Prep) and Zachary Spector (Yaphank, NY/Longwood) both registered season-best finishes in their respective events. Iannacone finished the 1 Mile Run in 4:23.98 - just two seconds behind the Wagner College record.

Spector possibly had the best finish for the men – placing sixth out of 21 athletes in the 3000 Meter Run. Spector's season-best time of 8:46.72 was nearly seven seconds better than the previous team-best of 8:53.60 set by Iannacone last weekend.

Finally, sophomore Jeffery Caravello (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) registered a season-high 4.05 meters jump in the Pole Vault. His previous best this season was 3.95 meters. Caravello finished fifth in the event out of seven athletes.

The Seahawks finished in 13th place with 11 team points. Rutgers University finished first with 166 points.

The Seahawks return to action on February 5th at the Collegiate Invite in New York, NY.
