Outlook: The Raiders return a solid stable of athletes from the year before, a very senior heavy squad of experience. They'll want to shore up their backend to fend off any challengers, but look to be in the best position heading into the Season.

Saratoga (Blue Streaks)

Section 2

States Teams: 1987 (A-3rd), 1988 (A-1st), 1999 (A-2nd), 2000 (A-3rd), 2001 (A-1st), 2004 (AA-3rd), 2005 (AA-1st), 2012 (A-1st), 2013 (A-3rd), 2015 (A-4th), 2016 (A-4th), 2022 (A-5th) NXN Nationals: 2005 (1st), 2012 (12th)

Hudson Shaw1222-145
Owen Blaisdell1149-138

Outlook: Former State Champions back in 2012, Saratoga is looking to make a run for the podium. They have a strong compression team here, that will need to be tested outside of SPAC. If they can move up the pack together, they'll start displacing the other teams, and head right to the top of the podium.

Auburn (Maroons)

Section 3

States Teams: 1983 (A-2nd), 1987 (A-8th), 2022 (A-7th)

States Individuals (Top 10 finishers): Jamie Simmonds (1992, A-4th), Pat Dorsey (1997, A-5th)

Austin Ferrin111694150
Elliot Hickman1236102135

Outlook: The Maroons bring back their entire Top 7 from a year before. In 2022, the goals was just to make it to States. In 2023, they have a chance, with continued improvement, to win the whole thing. Shown progression on the track must continue here, as there is still some vulnerabilities on the backend, but the pieces are present for a surprise run.

Arlington (Admirals)

Section 1

States Teams: 1951 (B-1st), 1952 (B-2nd), 1975 (A-4th),1976 (A-3rd), 1978 (A-9th), 1984 (A-9th), 1995 (A-4th), 1997 (A-6th), 2005 (AA-6th), 2006 (AA-6th), 2007 (AA-6th), 2010 (AA-5th), 2011 (A-4th), 2012 (A-4th), 2014 (A-9th), 2015 (A-3rd), 2016 (A-7th), 2017 (A-8th), 2019 (A-5th), 2022 (A-6th)

Brian Brutting121157153
Jack Handman114377151
Jack Pelusio122591149

Outlook: Led by one of the top runners in the State, it always helps to start the team scoring with the number 1. The Admirals will need to coalesce around Green, though, and make a combined improvement, in order to take down some of the top seeded teams.

Rush-Henrietta (Comets)

Section 5

States Teams: 2004 (A-6th), 2009 (A-5th), 2010 (A-4th), 2011 (A-2nd), 2012 (A-6th)

Mikey Flannery12331164
Zachary Terrano12--151
Bayley Herman1127-149
Samuel Lewis1121-142

Outlook: Coming just one point shy of the title in 2011 at the same VVS course, Rush wants to get back to the big show. To do so, they'll have to take down the preseason favorites at the Sectional level, and it might be the bigger hurdle of the two tasks. However, they have the combined second best top 2 in the State, and plenty to build off past them.

Ithaca (Little Red)

Section 4
