Streak Continues: Auble With First 60 Foot Throw Of The Year

It took COVID to take down New York's streak of 60-foot Shot Putters. But once we were back in full swing last year, Michael Pinckney (HS For Construction) picked that trend back up again.

It's January, and we can officially call it a streak again, as we are now 2-in-a-row fro consecutive years over 60-ft. Matthew Auble (Warsaw), the State Leader heading into the weekend, launched a massive 4-foot personal best to join a very exclusive club. At the RWTL Meet at RIT, Auble won the event with his 60-4.75 performance.

It will be a busy weekend for Auble, who still has the Weight Throw tonight, and will be coming back tomorrow for the Jack Reed Invitational at Nazareth. There, he will have another shot at both the State Lead in the Weight, and a Personal best in both.

It hasn't been since 2017 since we've had multiple throwers in a single year, so keep on chasing that magic barrier.

Here's to keeping the streak alive!
