Summary: Saint Anthony's looks very good for a third straight title and 17th overall as they try for a possible Friar sweep of the girls and boys titles. St. A's is deep, has the highest speed ratings, great pack compression, and won the NSCHSAA, so that combination of good things appears very hard to beat.

As with the boys championship, the most competitive battle appears to be for the top six places that earn a trip to the state Federation championship. There are at least seven other teams besides Saint Anthony's for the berths, and only the top three teams in the NY-BQ-CHSAA meet -- champ St. Francis Prep, Archbishop Molloy, and Notre Dame (Manhattan) --  and Kellenberg appear to have high enough SRs and solid enough compressions to be fairly well set for a top 6 place. Both NSCHSAA 2nd place team Sacred Heart and NY-BQ-CHSAA 5th place team Notre Dame Academy have huge compression numbers which could be an issue in the large field of the CHSAA championship. Note that the Gator's 5th place occurred without reigning champ Lola Dinneen in the lineup.

NDA senior Lola Dinneen won the race last year, but this year she could well be running at the front with freshman teammate Katelyn Kliesch, who has posted the highest ratings this year. Notre Dame-Manhattan sophomore Maggie McCabe is third up in the ratings, and her sister Brigid won the race in 2019 and 2020.
