Orange Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sophomore Lisa Mullan (Victoria, British Columbia) and senior Eric Cleckner (Camp Hill, Pa.) have been named the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of December 14, 2009.
Mullan is a forward on the Syracuse women's ice hockey team. She scored the lone goal for the Orange in overtime to defeat Princeton and sweep the two-game series against the Tigers on December 12. She has scored four goals and tallied three assists throughout every game and has helped the Orange to its 10-7-1 record this season.
Mullan is majoring in the College of Human Ecology and will join the rest of the ice hockey team when it hosts Colgate on January 2 at 4 p.m. in Tennity Ice Pavilion.
Cleckner is a senior jumper on the SU track and field team. He last competed at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship, where he placed 11th with a total of 5,839 points in the decathlon, including second place finishes in the 400m (49.68) and in the long jump (6.54m).
Cleckner, an advertising design major in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, will join the track team when it hosts the Syracuse Welcome Back on Saturday, January 16.
