Outlook: Isabella Stenhouse led the way for the Peglegs with a conference crown and a really big showing at States. Stuy has its top four back, but still needs to firm up the back half after the loss of a few key seniors.

Outlook:  The Hawks have all of the team back this year from 2021's championship, so that's a very good sign, especially since the top five have at least two years left. Hunter will led by last year's PSAL 4th place finisher Rebecca Sonn-Lees who will be contending for the title in her junior year. The Hawks will be a long-term force in the PSAL if the young runners keep on the developmental trail.

Outlook: The Engineers lost their top two of Farah Osman and Susan Jimenez to graduation, but four other runners are back from last year's PSAL top 20 led by sophomore Danielle Andrews who was 9th. With balanced depth and a big group of sophomores developing from last year's strong freshman class, Brooklyn Tech will enter the season as a favorite to get the threepeat in the PSAL.

Outlook: The Pirates lost only Sara Chiu from the top 5 of last year's 6th place team, and they should improve their standings from last year's championship since they had a 38 speed rating there on a tough day. Two weeks later they finished the year off at the Staten Island Invite with a 74 TR. Sophia Debellas and Feds qualifier Elizabeth Nicotra lead a team that is all seniors and needs a big recruiting campaign this year.

Outlook:  Linden Cafcules and Thea Sjursen ran extremely well last year as sophomores at the PSAL championship, and Cafcules should vie for the individual crown this year. After losing some key seniors, the thin Blue Demons squad will need some bolstering at the back of the lineup.

John Jay Campus (Jaguars)

Outlook: Longtime leader Simone Isip is gone from the John Jay Campus \ Millennium team, so now a new group will be stepping up to lead the Jaguars. Junior Baila Ashe did not run in the PSAL championship but was 6th in the Brooklyn Boro race, so she will be the likely new leader.
