2022 Loucks Games Set To Impress - Full Preview

Long Sprints

Boys

Wesley Noble (Bishop Loughlin) opened his season with a PR of 47.69, and then split 47.02 at the Penn Relays. He's ready for another PR, and will have Andrew O'Donnell (Greenwich, CT) to push him.

Michael Rodriguez-King (Susan Wagner) leads the field in the 800m with his 1:52.99 from Indoors, but there are five chasers as 1:54 ready to pull the upset.

Girls

Anissa Moore (Paul Robeson) has been the breakout star of the 400m this Spring, with a 53.72 split at the Penn Relays, and has been slowly moving up the All-Time ranks in the event. One more move can grant her a School Record, as well as breaking into NY's Top 10 All-Time.

Daphne Banino (Ursuline) will be the first local talent trying to hold off State Leader Angelina Napoleon (Allegany-Limestone), as Napoleon may have bigger fish to fry with the Steeple the next morning. However, Napoleon is a former pentathlete, so doubling is par for the course. Banino comes back in the mile the following day, but has 2:54 speed for the 1000m, good to be in the low 2:10's for her first event.
