Scull is Among NCAA Elite 88

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Graduate student runner Jeff Scull became a recipient of the NCAA's Elite 88 award at the annual banquet for the Division I Cross Country Championship on Sunday, November 22. The award is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average at the finals site of each of the NCAA's 88 national championships.
Scull graduated Summa Cum Laude in August 2009 with his degree in nutrition. He is currently enrolled in the exercise science graduate program. Scull has been named to the Dean's List and Athletic Director's Honor Roll for six semesters, while also being named Second-Team Academic All-American in 2008 and 2009.
Eligible student-athletes of the prestigious award include those classified as sophomores or above and who have been participating in their sport for at least two years with their current institution. Additionally, the candidate must be an active member of the team and must travel to the competition at the championship site.
