New York Boys State Rankings - Week 3

Following Week of Saturday, October 2nd

The McQuaid invite has a reputation for raising the speed ratings for attendees on a fast course with fierce competitions. This year though on a slightly new course, it just didn't happen. Perhaps the new featured Premier race drew in so many of the top teams that the conditions were a little too heated in the packs battling around the turns. But for the smaller teams too, the speed ratings trended downward from previous weeks.

Corning again led the NY teams with a 2nd in the McQuaid Premier race to Ohio powerhouse Hilliard Davidson, while Burnt Hills, Niskayuna, and Webster Thomas filled out the top 5 teams in the race. Much of the rankings decisions are based on the McQuaid merge rather than individual races in order to include runners also from the Sophomore race and some fast JV guys.

A number of other key meets including St. Anthony's, Grout, and Byram Hills Bobcat also played big roles in the rankings.

The Manhattan invite is the big one for the coming weekend, but there will also be some fast action at Saratoga, Rome Coughlin, Suffolk Officials, Chittenango, and the Bulldog Stampede.
