Founders League Top Teams
At the Founders League Championship meet in 2019 the team scores were:
Westminster 54, Loomis Chaffee 59, Choate Rosemary Hall 88, Hotchkiss 91, Taft 111
Other teams in the scoring were Miss Porter's, South Kent, Ethel Walker, Kingswood-Oxford.
Many months have gone by since the 2019 championship and two classes have graduated. Most of the Westminster team from that meet are gone, but Choate Rosemary Hall, Hotchkiss, and Taft all have at least five runners potentially returning who ran at 23:15 level or better, and Loomis Chaffee and Kingswood-Oxford have four.
Based on potential returners at their 2019 level for this year, a 5K time average for the top teams would be Hotchkiss 22:12, Choate Rosemary Hall 22:17, Kingswood-Oxford 22:39, Taft 22:40. Loomis Chaffee did not have a fifth runner for the virtual scoring. Two years later, all of the runners will be at a different stage and a group of new runners will have been added.
The 2021 Founders League season could be very competitive.
