Connecticut Girls XC Class M- SS - S Previews + NEPSTA Group

Class SS's Top Runners

Class SS could field a big group of top runners this year, but we need to wait for the 2021 results to start pouring in.

Gianna Rodriguez (Plainville). The Blue Devil sophomore finished 8th in the Class M 3200m race in June and will looking to get more devilish action going on behind her.

Kaylee Gravel, Savannah Garcia, and Jessica Starr (East Hampton). Gravel was the clear frontrunner for the Bellringers last year with a win in the Shoreline XC meet along with an 800m win and 5th in the 1600m at the Class S meet in June. Garcia ran at the top with Gravel last year, and Starr was one of the premier hurdlers in the state with a 1st in Class S and 2nd at the Open in the 300m.

Isabel Berardino and Ava DiMatteo (Haddam-Killingworth). Berardino was 2nd and DiMatteo was 8th in the Shoreline XC championship last year, and they will be leading the Cougars' defense of their 2019 Class SS title.

Kaitlyn Deforest (Terryville). Deforest was 7th in the 2019 Class SS championship and will be a top contender for this year's title.
